1. The service
Atmy provides tools for receiving, storing, viewing and interpreting environmental sensor data. Features may include sensor dashboards, maps, historical views, forecasts, alerts, recommendations, publications and other environmental-information tools.
The current version of Atmy is provided without paid subscriptions or paid services.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an Atmy account. You are responsible for accurate account information, security of access credentials and activity through your account.
An adult account holder may configure non-identifying sensitivity settings for another household member. The current service is not designed for direct child registration.
3. Sensors
You may connect sensors that you own or are authorized to manage.
Environmental readings can be affected by model, installation, calibration, local conditions and connectivity. Unless Atmy expressly states otherwise for a particular certified product, Atmy measurements are not regulatory measurements and must not be used as the sole basis for emergency, legal, occupational-safety or regulatory decisions.
4. Environmental information and forecasts
AQI interpretations, forecasts, trends, alerts and AI-generated recommendations are informational and may be incomplete, delayed or incorrect.
Atmy is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
Do not rely solely on Atmy for urgent health or safety decisions.
5. Private sensor data
A newly added sensor is private by default unless Atmy clearly presents a different choice before publication.
Private sensor data is available to you and to service systems necessary to operate Atmy. Atmy does not treat a sensor as public merely because a location is configured.
You retain any rights you have in original environmental data generated by your sensor. You grant Atmy a limited, non-exclusive right to host, process, analyze, transform and display data as necessary to provide requested features.
6. Public sensors and environmental data
If you deliberately make a sensor public, Atmy may create a separate public environmental record for the Atmy Map, public dashboards, public APIs, research outputs and aggregated environmental datasets.
Atmy must not intentionally publish your email address, account identifier, authentication information, health profile or private account metadata as part of that record.
Public location may be reduced in precision for privacy.
By publishing a sensor, you grant Atmy a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, reproduce, display, distribute and make available the environmental information you intentionally publish for those purposes.
Information made public may be copied or stored by third parties. Atmy cannot guarantee deletion of independent copies made while information was public.
7. Aggregated and derived information
Atmy may calculate statistics, trends, forecasts, model outputs and aggregated environmental datasets.
Atmy will not describe information as anonymous where it can reasonably be linked to an identifiable person.
Where aggregated or de-identified information no longer constitutes personal data under applicable law, Atmy may use it for operation, improvement, research and environmental analysis.
8. Health personalization
Where available, health-related personalization is optional. Information such as asthma, COPD, allergies or heart conditions requires a separate explicit consent where applicable and is not required for core service use.
Atmy does not use health-profile information to provide diagnosis or treatment.
9. Credits
Atmy may use internal credits or usage allowances to manage access to computational or platform features.
Credits:
- are provided free of charge in the current service;
- cannot currently be purchased;
- have no cash or monetary value;
- are not electronic money or cryptocurrency;
- cannot be redeemed for money;
- are not transferable unless Atmy expressly introduces that capability.
10. Publications and user content
Where Atmy allows you to create or publish images, posts, text or other content, you retain rights you have in your original content.
You grant Atmy the limited rights necessary to render, resize, compose, store and transmit that content through the functionality you request.
You are responsible for rights to uploaded images, trademarks and other third-party material.
11. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use Atmy unlawfully;
- interfere with or disrupt the service;
- attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems or private APIs;
- bypass access controls or regional privacy controls;
- use Atmy to unlawfully monitor or expose another person;
- publish another person's personal data without a lawful basis;
- upload malicious code;
- misrepresent non-regulatory Atmy measurements as official regulatory measurements.
12. Availability and changes
Atmy may change, suspend or discontinue features as the service develops. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Where reasonably possible, Atmy will avoid changes that unexpectedly expose data that was previously private.
13. Suspension and termination
Atmy may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, systems, legal compliance or service integrity.
You may stop using Atmy and request account deletion through available account/privacy controls.
14. Intellectual property
Atmy software, branding, interface designs and service materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer Atmy intellectual property to you.
15. Disclaimer and limitation
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Atmy is provided on an "as available" basis and environmental outputs are not guaranteed to be complete, timely or error-free.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
16. Governing law
Subject to mandatory consumer-protection and other non-waivable rights applicable where you live, these Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights that applicable law gives you regardless of this choice of law.
17. Privacy
Personal-data processing is described in the Atmy Privacy Policy and Data Policy.
18. Changes to these Terms
The page shows its effective date and version. Material changes should be communicated and, where legally required, renewed acceptance requested.
